Supply Point

Like all our self services, we recommend to scan the corresponding QR codes, which will get you directly to the supply point you were looking for.

If you prefer, there are other methods to get to the desired supply point self service:

  • Scan another device in the same supply point. In the main information of that device, you will see an option called Supply Point, which is a link to the supply point the device belongs to.
  • Visit the supply point list page in the self service. You can either scan any smart device, click on the assigned supply point and in this floating menu, select Choose Supply Point. Or visit this link to the Supply Point List directly.
  • From here you can navigate to any supply point your user has access to.
  • Scan the QR codes generated on Administration > Supply Points (Shelves). Check the supply points you want to generate a QR code for, click Generate Labels, select which orientation you want the labels generated for and confirm the download by clicking on the Generate button.
  • In the cloud in Administration > Supply Points (Shelves). Scroll to the last column Details and click on the button with the arrow icon.

Manage Articles assigned to the supply point

tip

If you're preparing for a new install, we recommend doing this part - if possible - before sending out the gateway and devices to the location. This way you will explicitly create a set of articles that should be available at the supply point, which will greatly reduce the overhead during the install.

In reality the expectation is not always congruent with the actual situation. If the two mismatch, this is a good highlight of an issue and presents a good opportunity to resolve the situation.

Match Articles at the Supply Point to a Smart Device

Once you arrived at the supply point you want to click or hover the floating button in the bottom right corner, which will reveal the Assign Articles And Devices option. Click on that and you will be presented with a list of articles. For each article you want to assign to the supply point, search the article from the list and click to add. If you need more than one device for the purpose of greater storage, click as many times as you want devices to be assigned. If you want to just set a number for a larger install for example, you can manually set the amounts on the next screen. The floating button in the bottom right updates with each selected article and shows the sum of all articles and devices you are planning to assign in this session. This behaves much like the familiar ecommerce shopping cart. Once you're happy with the selection, click or hover the floating button again and choose Show List. Here you can adjust the amounts of planned devices. Once you're happy with the amounts, click or hover the floating button again and click Assign Smart Devices.

For each position you selected before, you will now be prompted to scan or input the smart devices you will want to assign.

info

This dialogue shows recommendations for devices to be assigned. You can ignore this recommendation at your own risk.

Once you've scanned all devices, all of the devices displays should be updating and show the now assigned supply point number or short name.

In order to assign smart devices to your supply point you can choose Add Smart Devices from the floating button menu. While this scanner is open, you can scan and assign as many smart devices to the supply point as needed, one by one.

Quite often a change in the assigned supply point is accompanied by a change in the assigned article. If you want to change the article as well, please refer to our docs in smart track self service.
